Default Ex-GF On Rebound

As fate would have it my ex-gf the Freaky Girl got dumped by her loser boyfriend of 45 days the stonerdude last week.

Now the girl who was so closed off and only wanted sex from me is "rebounding" to me and is very talkative and wants to hang out. I have promised to be a friend to her so she is going to visit tonight and watch the fights on tv (this will be first time we actually watched them together....although they were on as background noise many times in past ha ha).

She told me something interesting about her relationship with stonerdude and me. That is that all the "sparks" and "excitement" were with me and that the stonerdude had so much in common with her so she went with him....plus she is a miss lonely and hates to be alone...and I am looking for a gf who is independent.

Life is certainly wierd sometimes.

Well this was an interesting and relaxing experience....the Freaky Girl and I actually hanging out together while we are both "getting over" recent short relationships -I have gotten over mine

I was nice and didn't flirt with the Freaky Girl just got a couple of tame goodbye kisses. This is a lonely and confused chick but she has a fragile sweetness about her.

My back burner is full of women who are attracted to me including an engineer who is loaded so I am not willing to put much energy toward the Freaky Girl right now.

What I have learned is that it is good to not burn bridges with ex-gfs. You never know what will happen.

I fully agree with the "don't burn bridges with ex-girlfriends" philosophy. Of course, that is not always possible - but in some cases, it is.

Keeping those bridges intact can yield future benefits of different sorts. Plus - it is good karma.

Most definitely!

At this juncture I have two back-burner girls who have moved to the front burner by default…the Freaky Girl and the Smart Party Girl. The Freaky Girl is becoming a much better friend as well as partner in fun and the Smart Party Girl is quickly becoming a “fun” partner, albeit less of a friend because she has annoyed me.

I am taking this opportunity to reevaluate exactly what I am looking for in a “relationship.” In a few days I will probably send out an email blast to a number of online girls I am interested in and see what sticks.

Also have some other prospects in the back burner positions. Whatever happens I will continue to try to not burn bridges as I am finding out how valuable these ersatz ex or part time GFs can be!
