WOMAN OF THE MONTH – MAY 2012 Maria Menounos

Maria Menounos, co-host of the Warner Bros. entertainment news program Extra, has been selected as the midlifebachelor.com Woman of the Month for May 2012!

I had forgotten about Maria Menounos because I never watch Extra – but then, of course, I saw her on the current season of Dancing with the Stars, and was reminded how incredibly hot and well-spoken she is.  Maria Menounos is unquestionably one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood … plus she genuinely appears to be a “nice girl”, or at least that’s all I’ve ever seen of her.  She is always nice to everyone … has a great big smile … never a bad thing to say … no big ego … she is so refreshing, to say the least.

Maria Menounos has an extensive biography that we cannot possibly cover here in its entirety so we will focus on the basics that we midlife bachelors care about.  She was born on June 8, 1978 … so that makes her 33 years old at this moment.  She was born in Medford, Massachusetts to her Greek parents … that’s right, she is of Greek ancestry.  She competed in the Miss Teen USA pageant, and finished in the Top 15.  She attended Emerson College in Boston, and began her broadcast journalism career when she was a senior when she was hired as a reporter for Channel One News.  I think I first noticed Maria Menounos when Entertainment Tonight hired her as a reporter in 2002.   She left ET in 2005 to focus on her acting career – and she landed a handful of roles in various television series and movies.  Fortunately, she returned to regular LA-based entertainment reporting in August 2011 when it was announced she would co-host Extra with Mario Lopez … but I wish she would return to Entertainment Tonight because that is one of the few entertainment news programs I watch regularly.

Maria Menousos is not married – not yet anyway … and I cannot find any evidence on the internet that she has a current boyfriend … so that is definitely great news for us midlife bachelors! She apparently has had several boyfriends in their 40s in the past – including Vin Diesel and Gerard Butler … so she does like older men (YES!).  Someone told me that she was seen kissing her Dancing with the Stars partner, Derek Hough … and if that’s true, then we’re all focked because we cannot compete with him!

Here are two videos of Maria Menounos.  The first is an incredible video of her hosting Extra in her bikini in the winter in NY’s Times Square.  She lost a bet, and that’s why she is in the bikini.  Ummmm … Maria … did you REALLY THINK THAT BET THROUGH before agreeing to it???  The second video is of her as a contestant in Dancing with the Stars …and I really like this particular video of her.
